Entering 2026 fills me with genuine optimism. The year ahead holds extraordinary promise.
When AI and emerging technologies are guided by human ingenuity, wisdom, and strong ethics, they become powerful amplifiers; the mix will enable us to innovate faster, solve tougher problems, and serve others with greater impact than ever before.
Regardless of where tech heads this year, work is the sacred stewardship of our unique, God-given talents in service to others. No algorithm can ever redefine that inherent human dignity.
The same technologies fueling progress will sadly also supercharge cyber threats in 2026.
I joined Bo Thompson and Beth Troutman at WBT News Radio / Good Morning BT for a candid 2025 recap and my predictions for 2026-2027.

If you don't get a chance to listen in, here's a quick set of tips!
Your 2026 AI Strategy and Operational Resilience Playbooks must include:
Strong AI Ethics & Governance: Define your ethical north star. Create safe space to pilot, fail fast, learn, and improve continuously.
Trust Nothing: Assume every vendor, tool, platform, and line of code is vulnerable or already compromised. Verify relentlessly.
Anonymize Essential Data: Delete or digitally shred everything else (while complying with legal retention requirements).
Tokenize All Access: Do not allow continuous access and wherever possible, eliminate credential-based vulnerabilities.
As CEO of Fortalice Solutions, former White House CIO, and board advisor, I've spent decades on the frontlines of these battles.
If your board, executive team, or conference needs unfiltered insights on AI-driven threats, resilience strategies, or future-proofing your organization—let's connect.
I'm passionate about equipping leaders to not just survive, but lead in this new era.
Blessings,
Theresa
